Most people might find it strange to use the Sanskrit language with the Tarot. Why do we do that? Simple. With this ancient language, you will understand the origin of words, image symbolism and ancient mythology. Despite the worldwide advertising that Sanskrit is Indian in origin, this is not so. It is Phoenician. The Phoenicians were the first settlers at the Mediterrane and ancient Greece, Crete and South Italy. You could also find them in Japan and many other countries. What happened to them? Migration. People were free to enter. Soon they became the majority, and the Phoenicians disappeared into another race. However, their radical demise was their incredible knowledge, such as their language, mathematics, geometry, chemistry, etc. People saw it as magic, so they wanted it for themselves. Since the Phoenicians didn't believe in violence, even for self-defence, they were enslaved, their knowledge taken and sold. Today you know them as the Romani or Gypsy people.
All language today contain Sanskrit words, but since we are not the orignal speakers, the meaning of the word is lost. Without it, we don't know the true meaning behind these words, which is vital, specially to understand the tarot card's meaning. With the Sanskrit words you will find many words and names of gods and goddesses that lost with time, in some cases turned upside down, and something meant to enlighten you became to represent something negative.
According to FINGERPRINTS OF THE GODS by Carlos Castaneda:
"Supernatural- of or relating to things that cannot be explained according to natural laws."Less than 50,000 years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history", all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. In SUPERNATURAL Graham Hancock sets out to investigate this mysterious "before-and-after moment" and to discover the truth about the influences that gave birth to the modern human mind."
Well, it had nothing to do with supernatural things. It was the Phoenician affect. Whether through stealing their knowledge or they shared it whilst trading items, we don't know.
This is a secret to be discovered.
